MANUEL ANTONIO
Nat. Park

(Quepos)

Located in The Central Pacific Conservation Area at the Pacific coast of Costa Rica, just south of the city of Quepos, Puntarenas, and 157 km (98 miles) from the national capital of San José. It is our smallest national park but the most visited destination by local and foreign tourists.

The stunning beauty and diversity of wildlife in its 683 hectares is unmatched, providing an excellent combination of nature trails and a beautiful beach to finish your walk. Besides, you will have more opportunities to spot wildlife in a shorter time! Not guaranteed, but usually local guides spot monkeys, iguanas, birds, insects, crabs, deer, and provide very helpful information about the rainforest interaction with flora, fauna, and the big number of visitors we have every day. The Manuel Antonio Park Guided Tour contains a charming combination of rainforest, beaches, and coral reefs. These beaches are the most beautiful in the country, lined with lush forests.

Manuel Antonio National Park is also 15 minutes away from a nice little beach town called Quepos, which is the center of the commercial pole where you can find a Mercado, banks, local dining rooms, restaurants, supermarkets, cafeterias, a beautiful Marina (Pez Vela), and many local Tour Operators offering a few tours/excursions like:

  • Sport Fishing

  • Catamaran tours

  • Nature walks at Manuel Antonio

  • Night Walks

  • Canopy tours

  • Waterfall and trails tours

  • Mangrove/Sea Kayak tours

  • All-Terrain Vehicles tours (ATV)

  • Horseback riding

  • Snorkeling

  • White-water Rafting

  • Birdwatching walks

  • Surfing lessons

Please keep in mind that you can visit this destination in one day if you are at San José (our capital), but it will be much better if you spend at least 2 nights in one of its beautiful hotels near the National Park to improve your experience in this great place.
